Fashion Design Intern (3-Month Contract)

MoveActive is on the hunt for a fashion design student or recent grad with a sharp eye, bold ideas, and strong CAD skills to join our design team on a 3-month contract.

We’re a leading Aussie brand in the Pilates and activewear space, known for stylish grip socks, statement tees and accessories that mix performance with personality. This is your chance to get hands-on experience bringing trend-led ideas to life across socks and apparel graphics, while gaining insight into how a fast-growing fashion brand operates day-to-day.

What you’ll be doing:

Designing new sock styles and t-shirt graphics that align with our seasonal collections
Creating custom sock designs for our studio wholesale clients, based on their branding and style needs
Translating concepts into clear, production-ready CAD drawings
Assisting with trend research, mood boards, colour palettes, and reference materials
Supporting the product development process from sketch to sample
Supporting day-to-day design admin, such as archiving assets and maintaining design libraries
Assisting with design-related email communication—coordinating with suppliers, requesting samples, and sharing artwork files
This is an on-site role based at our East Brunswick HQ.

You’ll need to bring:

A high level of CAD design experience—Adobe Illustrator is a must
Confidence in creating tech packs or ready-for-production files
A strong eye for detail and an understanding of design process workflows
A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly in the context of product development and data organisation
A good grasp of current fashion and lifestyle trends (bonus points for love of Pilates or activewear)
Great communication skills, initiative, and a positive, can-do attitude
